It's a sick world...
...Literally! The universe is a living thing and the monsters of legend are its parasites. Humanity has been at war with the supernatural for its entire history. But to fight a disease you don’t need soldiers — you need doctors.
Meet Dr. Vincent Morrow, who makes up for what he lacks in bedside manner with black humor and brilliance. Dr. Morrow’s on a quest to understand the supernatural using every tool at his disposal, magical and medical. The apocalypse is a disease — and he’s looking for a vaccine.
Witch Doctor is a medical horror comic written by Brandon Seifert and illustrated by Lukas Ketner, from Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics.
Witch Doctor is available at most comic speciality stores, and digitally through comiXology.

You warned me at Stumptown today about the book’s language being inappropriate for my son, and I have two things to say:
1) This is great stuff!
and
2) LANGUAGE? It’s the LANGUAGE you were worried about for a six-year-old?
April 26th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
“HAHAHAHA!”
Auguste, that’s actually how I laughed out loud when I read that.
You’ve got a great point. I’d been warning parents with older children about the language, but for your son I really shouldn’t have focused on just that. (I remember being eight years old and having nightmares inspired by a Ghostbusters cartoon about a werechicken of all things. Traumatized me for days.)
I’m glad you enjoyed it!

I really liked your take on vampirism. Good stuff and excellent artwork and storyline. Especially for a free comic. You two must of been inspired to produce this by yourselves

Wonderful! I really enjoyed it!

Very entertaining comic indeed. Great concept.
Was wondering where the last song on the sound track comes from?

This comic was really imaginative, and extremely well-drawn. I like it! I look forward to the next part; you sucked me in in 16 pages. Nice!

I am very impressed. Artwork is excellent and subject matter is very well handled. Good stuff. Glad you tipped me off to this site Lukas.

This is very cool. I got to your site via Greg Palast’s Steal Back Your Vote comic .pdf. Wasn’t expecting this crazy shit, lol. If I may be so bold, I think the cover needs some work. It didn’t give me an idea of what to expect, and kinda turned me off… but I’m not sure why. Don’t get me wrong, its an amazing drawing, I just don’t think it reflects the content of the comic very well. A good cover makes me want to read on! Anyway the comic itself was awesome, good job.

i just knew i had found something different when i was at ECCC glad i bought the comic and the print i see you guys going far and i hope this comic sees the credit it deserves. Lukas you have a beautiful stylized artwork that is hard to come by these days, and Brandon you have a dark wittiness about your writing that easily makes it impossible to put your comic down. I am honestly waiting for your next comic just so that i can see what mythological creature you can break down as “scientifically” as you can with these sorts of things.

Thanks Alex! We’re glad you enjoyed it. (We appreciate the compliments too!)
And we’ve got a hell of a lot of monsters lined up for the dissection table!

Nice cover :O
I’m reading everywhere about this comic, and it sounds like its for free, but how the hell can I read it?
I’m just able to look at the concept art and covers.

Damn, I should clarify that!
We used to offer a couple of stories for free, but they were pretty rough “proof-of-concept” things, and when we got picked up by Image/Skybound we took them down. There’s a preview issue that’s on sale at some cons — it was at San Diego and I imagine it’ll be at New York Comic Con — but that’s it for Witch Doctor out in the wild right now!

Hm, Ok thanks for the reply, but I’m living in germany, so it’ll be hard to go to the Comic-Cons ^^
