« Previous | Next »WITCH DOCTOR #0 ashcan for sale at Comic-Con tomorrow!

July 20th, 2010

We kicked Witch Doctor off, back in 2008, with Witch Doctor: First Incision, a 16-page medical horror story introducing our series and featuring a decidedly different take on vampires.

First Incision 2008 was our “demo tape.”  Tomorrow at Comic-Con comes Witch Doctor #0  2010 — our “studio EP.”  It’s still a 16 page introduction to our series, but it’s been reworked from the ground up to represent two years of growth, of Lukas and myself as creators, and as Witch Doctor as a concept.

Witch Doctor #0 will be on sale at the Image Comics booth (#2729) for the whole of Comic-Con.  But — its fate after San Diego is uncertain!  As yet there are no plans to release the new #0 through Diamond Comic Distributors before the debut of our first miniseries in 2011, and we may well sell out of the first printing during San Diego.  So get them while the getting’s good!

Also, Brandon and Lukas will be signing at the Image booth from 5 to 6 pm Thursday, following their appearance at the Robert Kirkman panel (Room 5AB) from 4 to 5 pm, where Skybound gets officially announced and fleshed out.  Lukas and Brandon are also available for a limited time only at Comic-Con — one day only!

See you there?

  • About Witch Doctor

    It's a sick world...

...Literally! The universe is a living thing and the monsters of legend are its parasites. Humanity has been at war with the supernatural for its entire history. But to fight a disease you don’t need soldiers — you need doctors.

Meet Dr. Vincent Morrow, who makes up for what he lacks in bedside manner with black humor and brilliance. Dr. Morrow’s on a quest to understand the supernatural using every tool at his disposal, magical and medical. The apocalypse is a disease — and he’s looking for a vaccine.

Witch Doctor is a medical horror comic written by Brandon Seifert and illustrated Lukas Ketner, published by Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics.

The four issue miniseries starts June 2011.
