September 15th, 2011

I don’t think everyone caught it, but at San Diego Comic-Con this year we announced a new Witch Doctor miniseries starting next spring — and a one-shot, Witch Doctor: The Resuscitation, coming out this December!

And here… is the cover.

Isn’t that phenomenal? Lukas knocked it out of the park with this one.

We can’t tell you much about The Resuscitation without giving it away, but we can tell you how it starts: A guy wakes up in a hotel bathtub full of ice, with a fresh surgical incision over his kidney! You know what that means, right? Actually, you only think you do — because when the guy goes to the hospital, they tell him he’s still got both his kidneys! And then Morrow walks in the door to give him his second opinion.

I’m really excited about this story, and it’s one I’ve been looking forward to doing for literally years. We’re making sure it works both as a jumping-on point for new readers, and as a bridge between the first miniseries and the second one. And we get to explore Dr. Morrow a bit more, and put him in situations we haven’t seen him in before.

Witch Doctor: The Resuscitation comes out December 14, 2011. Ask your retailer to pre-order you a copy — it’s the only way you can guarantee you’ll get one!

  • About Witch Doctor

    It's a sick world...

...Literally! The universe is a living thing and the monsters of legend are its parasites. Humanity has been at war with the supernatural for its entire history. But to fight a disease you don’t need soldiers — you need doctors.

Meet Dr. Vincent Morrow, who makes up for what he lacks in bedside manner with black humor and brilliance. Dr. Morrow’s on a quest to understand the supernatural using every tool at his disposal, magical and medical. The apocalypse is a disease — and he’s looking for a vaccine.

Witch Doctor is a medical horror comic written by Brandon Seifert and illustrated by Lukas Ketner, from Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics.

Witch Doctor is available at most comic speciality stores, and digitally through comiXology.
